My name is Alice, hence thealice.co.uk. I got married to the love of my life and long-suffering husband Will on 12th January 2009, and we live together in London.

I am a 24 year old University drop-out Marketing Manager, working my bum off for a Magazine in London by day and trying to be the best part-time housewife ever by night, in between all the cocktails, music and eating out.

Right now I enjoy cooking, great restaurants, shopping, fashion magazines, bad books, sleeping in, extravagance, champagne and spending time with Will.

I like to tell people that I was blogging before it became cool, but as I spent my teenage years (and have now my career) online I have had to come to the terms with the fact that I am in fact a geek. Thealice.co.uk has existed for around 5 years in various guises, including a food blog and fashion blog. I resurrected it after along period of hiatus the day I found out I was pregnant.

Having suffered with endometriosis for 8 years and being told I would be challenged fertility-wise, finding out I was pregnant on Friday 13th November 2009 was one of the biggest – and best – shocks of my life. This blog tells the story of dealing with pregnancy (badly), preparing for motherhood (read: freaking out) and trying to reconcile my life as a career-oriented fashion and music girl with becoming a mum (arghhh).

If you’d like to contact me you can do so at alice@thealice.co.uk.
